I have two routers; one has a really good wifi range and I can connect to it anywhere in the house. The other only covers half the house.

I want to replace the crappy one, but obviously don't want to get a router that's just as bad. Is there anything in the specs for a router that will indicate what kind of range it'll cover?

Hmmm...just use this one??

Do you really think I would have posted if it was that simple? :)

No, to make the short story long - it's my parents' router that has the problem. If I take my router over there, they can connect all over the house; with their router, though, they can't. So I want to replace their router with a better one.

And no, I can't just get the same I have - I bought it in London six or seven years ago, so I doubt it's still sold.

Edit: looks like their router is 802.11b/g, whereas mine is 802.11n. That could be why the range is better on mine.
