in other words will a big recession like the great depression of 1929, cause him to grab power?
as history always tells us when people are desperate and hungry,

they will vote for the first one that will give them what they want?

Not really, it will be self defense and war if we have a hitler situation on our hands.

I think Gary is referring to the Nazis. The ones who thought Hitler was a nice guy and ended up being killed by the allies.
 
Malema lacks one critical quality which Hilter possessed, and that's knowing the people intimately.

Hilter only came into power by playing on the emotions(knowingly) of the people.
Malema has no concept of this which I have ever seen, he only thinks for himself.
