Competition around the corner?

Wireless is no competition to any wired setup if you are a gamer...

I have a wireless arial big enough to use as a boat anchor, trust me, I have been down that route... latency and dropped packets just makes it an absolute cointoss, which packets make it back to the server... this was with multiple ISPs and fly by night operators... me wireless, never again...

Oh but I forgot, gameing is abusive use of ADSL

That's the fault of the isp. iBurst and Sentech or some fly by night wisp is no match for WiMax by a reliable service provider. On adsl you either get saix or IS both of which are "reliable". The isps also use satellite bandwidth a lot to make it cheaper which is where the latency comes in but overall the networks are reliable when working right. As long as the don't try to link 10,000 people to a base station just because it can handle 90Mbps everything should be fine.

They can be blended into the surrounds. I am willing to accepts them on buildings etc.

What about the brainies? Those are usually the problem and don't want them up in any form near them but they all want to use them.
