I hope I am allowed to post this.

After a lot of work and even more in the pipeline we have decided to get more information from all users. We created a Survey and will be doing a lucky draw on the 28th of March of the value of R500. Please can you guys complete it:

We offer what you can't get on a Cloud server.

OneFile is an online service that provides you with a safe and secure location where you can capture confidential information and documents that can be made available to your next of kin when the time comes. This ensures your family knows what is going on and what to do in case you are not able to do so yourself. OneFile thus acts as an emergency file for your family storing anything from your ID Document, Testament, Insurance Policies, Investments, Funeral Preferences, Vehicle information and many more.
Another benefit of storing your information online is that it can be accessed from anywhere. If you apply for finance you immediate have your ID and proof of residence that you can simply forward as a PDF. No more manual scanning every time you need to do something.

We also have reminders to notify you when ever you have something that will expire like a driver's license, passport, etc. You will get a email on the day you want to be reminded so that you don't have to pay any penalties or extra fines.

Done but how secure will the documents be? One breach and it's game over, man. Game Over!

How many redundant copies of the documents do you have, in how many different locations?

What encrpytion is used, do you have the encryption keys or not?

What security screening do your staff go through if you hold the encryption keys? What responsibility will you take if the documents stored in your system are used for identity theft?

Just had a look through the survey, and to be honest you aren't offering anything new that people can't do already on their own.. and you are potentially adding too much risk into the equation for it to be worthwhile.

@Ninja - Jip one breach and the company will not recover easily

@Toxic - We are in the process of partnering up with a company to secure the documentation. We will be splitting the data into "segments" so that if there's a breach it should assist in giving full profile details to the hacker but there's several steps in place and we are enhancing this every day. Our staff only uses a Admin panel and they don't have access to details of a profile.

Yes, I agree, you can manage all of the items that we do but there's issues with that. You have to use multiple applications and most likely a Username/Password for each of them. We are looking at additional items to bring in so that OneFile will be a application that you use on a daily basis. But then we will also offer a service where if something has to happen your Next of kin will be notified that you have a OneFile account and she can get a full report on your profile (that you wanted to share.)

We are busy with several other enhancements as well and doing this as a Pilot to see where we have problems. The survey is mostly to see what people would think about this service and responses so far is very good.
