I don't really know who'se problem it is but let me complain too. Maybe you guys can tell me what the problem is.

I'm with Wireless Online. Whenever my connection is down or my international is slow then its not their fault but someone else's problem.

Today again, my international bandwidth is so slow that webpages doesn't even want to open. My MSN doesn't even connect. Local sites is fast enough to browse. I know if I phone them now they are going to say that the international is slow because of this and that, but never because it's their own problem.

I'm really thinking of changing my ISP. Just gonna wait a month or two to see if anything changes.

PS I can't even read my e-mail in my Gmail account.

With all due respect, you are really a "Piesang".

If you don't have service more often then you have, you are going to wait another 2 months? Why complain then? Thats is why the service is what it is in South Africa.

Demand an immediate resolution of your problem or terminate the service NOW.

Don't complain verbally, complain in writing and only accept answers in writing.

If they cannot justify in writing what they tell you verbally you are being screwed.

MOVE NOW.

AXXESS:

They disconnected me on Friday!!

It seems that the debit order system failed.

Thing is, they claim I now have 4 months outstanding, but I've checked my statements. it's only Nov and Dec!!!

So they screw up, and now I'm without internet!!

That really sucks!!

Expect my cancellation if this is not sorted by the end of business today.

:)

I requested a line upgrade from 192 to 384 last week Monday from teklom.
They said - certainly - it'll take 48 hours.
Phoned them Wednesday. They said - shame - poor you - we'll tell them [tech dept] again.
Phoned them Thursday. They said - shame - poor you - we'll tell them again.
Phoned them Saturday. No Answer.
Phoned them Today [Monday]. They said - shame - poor you - we'll tell them again.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

[email protected] I've been with you guys for many years, (1996) even had friends that worked for you guys. you guys have even helped me a few times when i really needed to get the impossible done. So.. as for my complaints, if its complaining that will keep you guys my isp of choice, then so be it. in all other area's there are hardly any other ISP's that can touch you guys.

Best wishes for the Silly Season

Why don't we have a poll isp used vs satisfaction...think it will be very helpful for the community.

Very interesting...

I have been chasing my ADSL installation and was today told that their system has been down for TWO WEEKS and therefore they have a huge backlog... not sure which system was down but it appearently affected all orders. The rep was going to "escalate" (love the way they use that word) the problem to the relevant department (hope they know where it is). I should hear from them in 48 hours, but if I don't hear (which is likely), then I mustn't wait but call back to check (oh, i will)... They may even have lost the order because of the system crash... hope they haven't lost yours... By the way, she told me that the average installation timeframe for ADSL is 30 working days from order.... that's 6 weeks if I'm not mistaken. Totally unacceptable.

I dont get why on earth people join up with Mweb...Their prices are insane. Is there bandwidth shaped?

South African people are like sheep...

They see it on TV so they think its good, and then they buy it

Yeah...

The same goes for TV - lol. Multichoice = no choice... why can't you get it without MNet? And why does MNet cost so much... same reason as Mweb. I've been wondering for ages why people spend money on Mweb. With all their income they don't do much about opposing Telkom or fighting for the consumer. Unless it hits them personally - nothing to do with the customer as far as I can see. Anyone from Mweb want to argue the point?

Some Feedback ...

1: SAOL - Love them, but here's the thing... When you're capped you CANT GET ONTO THEIR SITE AS THEY SAID YOU COULD to top up your account!!!!! all you can get onto is TELKOM's website.
Has been sorted out - turned out be a problem with SAIX's access list. The online top up has also been sorted out to cater for capped accounts. Clients can now access www.saol.com and still receive email from pop3.saol.com when capped.

2: SAOL - Why OH why are we forced to pay R69 per gig if we want 10 Extra gigs - should we have the option to pay only R349 ???
Unfortunately it's a policy we need to stick to - if we sell @ R34.90 / gig we'll be running at a loss - we have calculated the costs very carefully and can't afford to veer from our plan.

3: SAOL - Why is there no staff on the weekends that can check banking records if money is deposited for that extra gig, and WHY do they have to phone someone and ask them to come into the office to enable that extra 1Gig ??? Why have after hours support staff at all ???
You can simply email or fax your proof of payment or use the online top up facility - support staff can top up accounts.

When you go into your account settings via their website - WHY OH WHY have a address details SUBMIT button when it DOESNT WORK - EVER!!!...
Has been sorted - worked fine with IE, needed some attention to work with Firefox.

LabAnimal said:
WHY (not only SAOL so not entirely their fault!) do any extra gigs left over at the end of the month not get carried over - I PAID FOR IT, IT SHOULD CARRY OVER!!!
At R34.90 / Gig we are selling below cost - our large client base enables us to sell at this price as not all users use their entire quota through the month - we can provide you an "absolute" account with carry over @ R69/ Gig.

Another thing that has been sorted our recently is the problem with the SAIX stats analyser.

Thank you for all your feedback - we will work on our problems and try accomodate our clients wherever possible.
