Computer for multi-tasking around 5grand

Get the Corsair CX430 PSU. It's less than R500, and flippin' good quality! Don't skimp on PSU.

PostmanPot, I would actually advise people to get the CX400 instead of the CX430 if they can get it for the same price.
The CX400 can deliver more juice :)

What are your guys opinions on this new quote?
Thanks, Matt

Where did you get that quote from?

I haven't seen 4GB RAM that cheap anywhere!

I would say go with the 1090T CPU, because it has a lot of overclocking potential, since it has an unlocked multiplier.

thanks man , from wootware. was quoted those prices.. The website prices are a bit more expensive than the prices i was quoted. on a totally different note have u checked out the samsung n150 plus notebook? thinking of getting it apparently its pretty sweet for light work.

Huh? How did you get your quote? I'm about to buy from wootware and using the shopping cart method with those "high" prices.

EDIT: Then again, I think your quoted prices are VAT exclusive, because AMD 1090T @ 2141.23 X 1.14 = 2,441.00 which is what is on the website.

hi guys iv ordered a 965 but now im not sure if it was the right decision, it was between the 965 and the 1055T...

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz AM3 125W Quad-Core vs
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz AM3/2+ 125W Hexa-Core - Retail ??

heavy multitasking thats all..no gaming at all and never overclocking.

thanks
matt

4 vs 6 cores? which makes more sense for multitasking?
The 965 isn't bad but 1055 would have been better..

For the applications that you use (Word, Itunes, Firefox, Adobe Photoshop, Fl Studio), I doubt that the 1055T would be any better.

Hahaha lol I never picked up it was the OP... Will stick to my first post then.. You would have been fine with an i3 :)
965 will be more than enough
