It wont load the page for the above motherboard?

When I power on the machine it boots into Win 7, but then restart's.
Or
When i power on the machine it shows cmos screen then restart's and cycles the restart over and over.

Sometimes it boots into Windows 7, other times it doesn't get past cmos screen.

I have tried removing all drives and adding a new one.
Replaced RAM
Replaced graphics card.
Reset to defaults.

Basically left with cpu or motherboard?

Try booting a linux livecd like Ubuntu and see how it goes. This way you can determine if it's hardware or win7 causing the problem.

Will do, I just flashed the bios and it seems fine again at least for now.
I'll run some heavy work on it.
And give the LinuxCD a try as well.

Can the BIOS go corrupt?

Nope bios flash didnt help, tried to reinstall Win7 on a new hdd and it got about 50% of the and then bombed out.

Do you have another PC or spare PSU to test with?

Just ordered a another psu, hope that helps, not in the mood to replace htpc.

OK - tried a new psu 300w and it still reboots.

Must be motherboard or CPU?

I suppose that leaves the m-board or cpu, suppose it needs to be taken completely apart and then put together again, maybe somethings loose.

Sounds like a over heating issue to me. Check the idle temp in the BIOS.

47c

Taken everything apart, where the cpu and fan sit together, there's that silver sticky substance for heat dissipation I assume, that's very dry.
So I have ordered some more.

Just wish I knew what needed to be replaced cpu or motherboard, can't rip out another pc and swop with that, just now I have 2 duds.
