Computer Supplier negligence

RAM: Patriot PSD34G133381.
CPU: Q6600, E6600 and Q9300.

That RAM's voltage is pretty low, possibly low enough to not have the board register it on boot-up. If you have any 1.65v or higher DDR3 modules lying around, even 1GB sticks, pop that in and see what happens. If you can, stick to double-sided 2GB memory modules because those are more likely to work than a single-rank 4GB DIMM.

As for X48 and DDR2, I set up a system with the ASUS RAMPAGE with DDR2-1066 memory. ASUS had one of the few boards on the planet that would work with both DDR2 and a 1333MHz FSB out of the box.

I know they existed, my point was that the world was going DDR3 by then and LGA775/DDR3 wasn't an uncommon combo as mentioned.

Ah, I see now. Yeah, it was an awkward transition period because DDR2-800 and 1066 was still so impressive, especially on AMD systems.

Hehehe... http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=417271

600 MHz (DDR2-1200) 3-3-3-9 at 3.375v with dry ice cooling. Third in the world for CAS 3 timings according to this list http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?286121-The-Official-Memory-Frequency-WR-List

On AMD of course ;) The good ol' days, the end of an era.
