How unsurprising that the ANC's court ruled for it.

The court ruled that the IEC’s decision to refuse acceptance of the ANC’s list of the six municipalities is set aside, and the IEC must do all things necessary to include the ANC’s lists on the ballots for the 4 November elections.

The reasons will be handed down later.

The constitutional court has frequently ruled against the ANC and/or government in matters it has considered.

I can only assume it was someone else's court on those occasions. Perhaps it's like a game of pass the parcel.

Oh well. I generally welcome the Con Courts rulings. But every now and again it makes some odd rulings. Like "kill the boer, kill the farmer" not being hate speech.

But I suppose that is proof of it's impartiality, when it displeases all sides.

I'd want to see the reasons, but this ruling seems to open the gates to a complete shyteshow down the line.
Likely it will be that because the regulations don't explicitly say that there is a difference between uploading documents to the IEC and submitting them, and that the ANC forgot this for these very wards, and therefore it would disenfranchise people (even though they could just vote for another party) , predominately black people because it is the ANC's wards that are the problem, and that is racist and therefore submit buttons on internet forms are racist and unconstitutional.

All 8 of them have been given beach side cottages in Bahamas.

That could be problematic as there are 11 in total and eight are required to preside on anything...

We have several prospective MyBB Justices who could be prevailed upon to step into the void. That way the CC would never make a biased ruling in future.

Lol...

During the argument, advocate Daniel Berger SC, for the ANC, said the “submit as final” button was a feature of the IEC’s software and not a requirement of the law.

The IEC dropped the ball there.

Use terms that can be traced back to policies you expect everyone to abide by. ANC simply took advantage of this loophole.
