Hi all

I bought an Ezviz H80f Multi from Takealot last week. Noticed it had just 1 review and it was about foggy lenses. Thought nothing much of it as it could be once off issue and no other reports online.

Installed it yesterday and after about an hour, the condensation started.

Has anyone ever experienced this before and will it resolve itself, or should I return it? I find it odd for a brand new camera (it was sealed) to have such an issue. Some say wait 72hrs but so far its only getting worse with the cooler weather (odd) in Durban right now.

I've also used and installed over 10 ezviz cameras before, but this is my first PYZ camera and also one with more than one lens.

This was maybe 4hrs after installation. The condensation was much less than now (the pic in my first post)

Update: Overnight the LED lights were on and I noticed in the morning the condensation was largely gone.

As the day progressed, the mist and condensation started to increase.

I've logged a return with Takealot

If the camera was brand-new where's the moisture coming from?

That's just shoddy quality. It's also possible you got someone else's return.
I was wondering if maybe they just sent me the unit the other user may have returned, but it seemed unopened and had a plastic seal.

But this is really weird. I'm still awaiting a response from EZVIZ

Will you post here about whatever you get for a replacement? looking for a good review.... I need 2.

was looking at this
Will do. That was one of my options too, but the 12x zoom on the triple camera setup seemed the best for my needs. If my replacement has the same issue, I'll also likely revert to a H9C 3k. Can't really find anything else (Wireless) with proper optical zoom other than Reolink but that's too expensive.

I was looking at https://www.takealot.com/all?filter=Brand:Agri Solsec but that is 1 more app on my phone.

Also looking for AI human tracking as my goats will set off the normal cameras

That 16x optical Reolink is a beast for the money. I want one, but wired.
Same. That would be my ideal choice but I'm already too deep into the EZVIZ ecosystem. I tried linking the cameras to Google Home last night but it doesn't seem to work

I uninstalled the camera this afternoon since Takealot return is booked for tomorrow. 2 of the lenses cleared up, maybe due to the nice hot day in Durban (with not too much humidity), but the one is still blocked.

The issue is they clear up and then get misty again so I'm going to still go ahead with the return and see what Takealot says

Just received my replacement. After around an hour, misting again. Seems like this issue is widespread but I'm gonna give it a bit of time again to see if it clears up 1000144915.jpg

There was probably moisture in it before it was sealed at the factory 😥
It has to be that, which is why the problem is on an endless loop, steams up then condenses back into water which runs down to the lowest point in the housing, repeat ad nauseam

I decided to leave the SD Card cover open yesterday and closed it up before 5pm. Mist disappeared. So far still good. I'll keep monitoring

Good idea, that'll sort it out, probably need to do it for a few days to be sure it’s all out

still holding up? care to share images?

Been meaning to share an update. So far no condensation since resealing the SD card cover and reinstalling it in my yard. The camera is really impressive (although the AI could be better)

I need one or two to put in the back yard so I can look around at what the dogs are up to when Im away. Glad to hear the moisture issue is solvable.
