Confusing Rewards on Control Chat

I'm tired of having my head in the clouds about what specials are available to control chat customers. I'm only confused because this is considered a 'hybrid' contract: its not a contract and its not prepaid - and often I feel Control Chat people get left out of the mix.

  1. Woza Whenever
It would appear that Control Chat customers cannot benefit from this deal. Once my Control Chat airtime has been depleted; and I recharge with R10 or more why should I not derive the same benefit as prepaid customers by getting some free minutes?
  2. All-In-One
Control Chat customers CAN see benefit in this product; but only when they recharge with the 'special' voucher. That means that despite having airtime loaded every month; in order to get benefit customers must purchase additional airtime to see the 'savings'. Surely a control chat 50 and above customer should qualify for the reward automatically; without having to load the voucher?
  3. Activation Bonus
This is possibly one of the most confusing offers. So; basically if you're an existing subscriber you can't have this. BUT say I wanted to sign a new Control Chat contract; would the activation bonus apply to the control chat airtime? Or only recharge airtime? Or would control chat customers not be permitted to derive any reward for signing the new contract?
  4. Recharge Rewards
Okay; no idea if this can apply to control chat customers. But say it did apply: if I recharge after my bundle is depleted would I qualify for this reward? Or why don't I qualify for this reward anyway on the 15th when the control chat balance is loaded?

Woza Whenever is for Pre-paid.

Recharge Rewards

Recharge Rewards is for PRE-PAID customers only. Both existing and new prepaid customers qualify as long as the recharge with a cumulative minimum of R50 per week. Customers may recharge with more that R100 cumulatively per week but will not receive more than 100 SMSs or 1000 MB’s per week. All recharge rewards allocated regardless of when they were earned in the week will expires every Sunday 23:59.

This is a voucher that was aimed at the data uses, to load on their data sim, Pre-paid.

CONTROLCHAT Boost

- 500 on-net minutes
- 500 SMSs
- 500 MB’ s

Hi ~AM~

It would appear that you have just confirmed what I had originally stated. Control Chat clients do not have any rewards; except a renewal bonus. I find this upsetting because we are not receiving preferential rates like contract customers and no rewards like prepaid customers. Might I suggest that the 'rewards team' beef up their offering to control chat customers.

As it stands at the moment there is absolutely no reason to have a control chat contract; apart from the phones, which less face it are pretty substandard. ~AM~ can you see my point here, why can't Control Chat people get the same rewards when recharging their account with prepaid airtime? Its mindbogglingly idiotic not to extend these rewards.

Dear ~AM~

I've been coming back to check up on this thread over the last month - it would appear that nothing has come from your meeting regarding these rewards. Please tell Thapelo, Karien, Zee, Farrel and Jenna that I am not impressed by their clear favoritism towards prepaid customers.

~hambone~

PS - two other quirks I have:

Controlchat offers you the best of both worlds - you get the stability and benefits of a contract with the freedom to choose upfront how much you want to spend each month, just like prepaid.

Well, it has already been established that the benefits do not extend to ControlChat.

Calls are now charged at an all-day flat rate according to the New All Day tariff plan. Existing controlchat customers can change to the new plan or choose between Easychat Standard and Per Second Billing.

Seems ControlChat customers do not benefit from the 99c promotion either

This is why I'm going to prepaid. The 'free phone' from a contract isn't always worth it...

Oh and BTW the "Control Chat Sign-up Voucher / The Control Chat Booster" is a jip of note. Three months (60 days actually) down the line and the credits expire despite having signed a 24 month contract. That's just rude...

I had 500 MB / SMS / Min and they expired after 60 days.... Why would you want to make them expire?! And then when I recharge I get bugger all?! CelLC there is a massive problem here and I really want some feedback from the product dev team...

The way the All-in-one voucher is designed, to expired in certain time frame.
The Airtime has a window period of 120 Days.
Here
The control Chat booster was a extra (promo) that we gave out for a certain time.
Was a normal All-in-one.
That voucher was a free promo we gave to all Control chat customer.

Hi ~AM~

I recently took out a Control Chat 75 contract through Nashua Mobile. It stated that you get R85 airtime per month. Since data is my main usage on my phone i thought i'd use from this airtime to buy a data bundle, now it seems you can't do that? So i'm being charged R2/mb from that R85pm and the only way to get the data cost down is to buy a data bundle on top of my monthly contract cost? Can you think of a better solution?
