My contracted ended end of Feb. While I am hanging on to this flimsy service I would like to know the following...

Will I be paying R349 contract price (seeing that I have paid off the card) or will I be paying the R289 per month (bolt-on price) per 1GB? +- R60 per month can buy food for the family or rent 3 DVDs :-)

I've asked but I now think I've got an e-mail gremlin and might have missed the answer. So have asked again.

Check in any case with your friendly SP.

V3G any answer on this yet?

I have asked the same question here and have subsequently spoken to two VC help desk agents who gave me conflicting answers.

If bolt on rates apply, I will definitely migrate to a 2 Gig data bundle when my contract expires. The price for 2 Gig as a bolt on is just to tempting to resist.

Just spoke to a customer care manager, this is what he says"

If you remain on your current package after termination date (you don't upgrade), the billing system will bill you as per the rate for that tariff, despite the fact that you have paid off the modem. The system cannot charge 2 different rates for one tarfiff code.

Unless they create another tariff code for these cases in the future (V3G can perhaps suggest this?), the only way to avoid paying this modem inclusive rate would be to migrate your package to a 4U contract(month to month with no charge) and add the bolt on bundle you want. You would then be billed only the bolt on rate.
