Confusion from MTN

As some of you may know I made a thread about which phone my mom should get (an upgrade via MTN corporate) so she fill in an upgrade application and all that. A few weeks later she gets a call from MTN saying that her application was rejected due to a non existent credit rating. She hardly has any accounts with shops and whatnot but she has always payed her contract (its on debit order).

So how can they deny her the upgrade if she has been on MTN for 12 years without any problem.

Will she have to make an appointment with MTN head office?

There is another thread about the same story. You better talk to someone their and give them a bit of our mind.

They probably have something wrong like the ID number due to their incompetence, so they are unable to find the correct credit profile. She can also check her credit profiles free once a year, and with them in hand go moan and ask "wtf is wrong with you people?".

Transunion:

Experian:

XDS:
http://www.credit4life.co.za/

If I remember correctly that is free once per year from each of these three. So you can do 3 checks a year?

Let me guess. They will not upgrade her contract but if she leaves it running now on a month to month basis they will gladly take her money???
