confusion re multiswitch for my dstv setup

I was told by 2 people (one at game and one at makro) that I MUST HAVE a 2x6 multiswitch but I honestly dont think that sounds right...

surely a 2x4 will be enough

Problem number one ... listening to people from game and makro....
2x4 is perfectly fine. I did my own install from old/existing SD pvr to HD ( 2P )/SD setup with a 2x4.

If you were conecting the old (4 tuner) HD pvr then a 2x6 would be needed, this is the problem with store clerks they learn 1 thing and they gues its rights for all setups

Yes. 2x4 is fine. But if you want to hook up extraview then you may need extra outputs if you have the 4 tuner pvr.
