Congratulations Web Africa!

You wouldn't believe what the last weeks been like. We still working on smoothing it out though before we make it official.

But yeah if you can order it so long via the backdoor. Apparently it even works ;)

Yeah im so sad I had to leave WA.
/me cries.
I will be back the moment Telkom gets kicked in the teeth and high bandwidth packages are back at a affordable price.

Agreed, WA are definitely my first choice for ISP.

Still torn between getting an IS account with 30gb local (and bad pings I hear) and a *spit* SAIX account which I'll only be able to use to browse and game.

Not their fault though, anyway.

wamatt any chance webafrica will be offering IS accounts ??

Let me dig up the my IS post, not much progress on that front from IS:

IS are still developing a product for larger ISPs who use run their own authentication servers thats affordable. Their per GB wholesale price is R100 p/gb. Which clearly is not competitive.

We are in talks around this and and will keep you informed on any developments as its something we want to offer because some clients clearly want it. (we have no love for the monopoloy - believe me!)

Aside: Aparently its RSN (real soon now) status.

Does the prepaid have a monthly time-limit like prepaid on 3G?

PS. Sorry if this info is available on your web, but I'm using dialup ATM, thus don't want to surf around, and others could have the same question! ;)

wamatt do you guys have 1 gig accounts? I want to start off with 1 gig and buy more as I need. Possible? It should be.

Yes, they have prepaid 1GB accounts for R75 per GB. Unused bandwidth on these accounts can get carried over to the next month.

Yeah what Vquest said. Also just to clarify there is no time limit. They sit there indefinitely.

You're in good hands WiseCrack :)

My only beef is that my account was not activated at midnight :(
Seems WA had a problem with auto-activating the accounts.

I logged a support ticket at 05h47 - got a response at 06h00. Brilliant guys.
As a first time WA user, I'll gladly forgive the hiccup - nobody's perfect. ;)

As for Axxess cutting me off "early" on the 31st... GRRRRR!

MyDraadLoos - PM me your client code asseblief just so I can make certain you enabled from our side. Looks like there definately still is a problem Telkom side, they in a conference call about it now.

Seems like authentication requests are *still* backing up. It took me 15 minutes to connect this morning.
