Hope this is the right spot to post...
I have a media player connected to my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. When I go to the network settings on the media player, it sees the Workgroup, entering which I can see my windows 7 pc. When I attempt to access the pc, the media player prompts me with a user name and password. On the pc I have shared my Movies folder, created a username and password. This username has read access to the Movies folder.
Anyways, when I enter the username and password into the media player prompt, the media player responds simply with logon failed. I have disabled all firewalls.
I also cannot see the media player from the pc.
A mate of mate has the exact same media player, with a Windows XP and Windows 7 machine, all connected via LAN. The XP pc can access the media player (and vice versa) but the Windows 7 machine is treated like a leper, unable to see his media player, and unable to being accessed from the media player.
Any suggestions?
