In short Thor187 is a perfect example of the worst kind of newbie.

Care to take bets on how many people would be willing to assist this little prat now?

Case in point.
Don't expect to be be treated with anything but disdain.
Let me remind you of some of your responses to advice given:
I'd like to do this the right way

Right I have bit bucket working no thanks to anyone here.
Guess that's just the dev mentality these days.
Won't bother any of you again.

I disagree.

Google doesn't have this answer.

you have very little technical ability if (Google bit bucket) is your answer to the two very specific questions I had.

Again just rambling, please. Impress me.

Are one of you actually able to provide an answer?

I got my answer from an developers irc chat in which I copied this thread link and the replies towards some of these folks was insightful to say the least.

Again I don't think you have comprehension

why I am to blame for k@k replies

But we can probably close this thread it is of no use anymore.

so that I question some of the ability some posters in this thread try to convy... :)

Yea let's just say there is a reason top end guys don't hand out here.

PS. the only idiot here is YOU.
More than one skilled developer has told you how to interface with git; the fact that you're either too stupid or stuck in your ways is certainly not a reflection on the people that tried to assist you.

Now live up to these statements:
I got my answer from an developers irc chat
close this thread it is of no use anymore.

I sometimes read Thor’s posts over here, and I think the way he is going about learning programming is flawed. He, like some in the profession (and me) is not naturally gifted in programming; I think he is too quick to ask questions instead of trying to figure it out by himself (and learn from the experience).

There is a book that has helped me called “The Talent Code” (it has nothing to do with programming) but it helped with how to go about learning (especially as an adult out of school for so long). Basically the gist of the book is about how world-class talent is developed, the author recommends deep practice (which requires hard work, mental struggle, and extreme attention to detail).

From the book:

Struggle is not optional—it’s neurologically required: in order to get your skill circuit to fire optimally, you must by definition fire the circuit suboptimally; you must make mistakes and pay attention to those mistakes; you must slowly teach your circuit. You must also keep firing that circuit—i.e., practicing—in order to keep myelin functioning properly

People called the Pietà pure genius, but its creator begged to differ. “If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery,” Michelangelo later said, “it would not seem so wonderful at all.”

Practice makes perfect :D

I feel exactly the same.

Buy hey - it's a lot easier to ask on a forum and get people to give you your answers than figuring it out for yourself.

For most programming related questions and simple google search will reveal that at least 1 other person (often times many more than that) in the world have tried to do exactly what you are doing.
