Running Windows Vista, VMC version 9.1.2.5766

I had a data session just now without VMC being connected. I had a couple of failed connections due to bad signal (Karoo), but it seems to me that the connection eventually went through - automatically.

I do have a screen shot of it - just want to know if anyone else has experienced the same? The software didn't show the connection as active, but an IP address and everything was assigned.

BTW, you're using an 'old' version of VMC, version 9.3.* has been available for a while now.

My e220's loaded with mobile partner, but I never use it except for sms-ing. Just use the connection created in network connections in windows*. And just by the by, now that (I think?) the 3.6 trial is over, and I have reverted to standard 1.8, I seem to have the quickest connection I've had for months - constantly getting +/- 2000 kbps in vodacom speed test. nice.

*edit: sort of using the e220 in "bridge mode"???

You might still be on 3.6. Not all profiles are back on 1.8 yet.

Granted - I changed it manually on vodacom4me a week ago though....

Not sure when they'll do profile changes but probably in batch mode at month-end, so you might be in amongst the few hundred thousand being converted at he moment.

Using a 3.6 device on a 1.8 profile means you should not have any hardware limitations to get your max.

I still think I'm the only vodacom data user on the Sedgefield tower...:)

Yes, I know there is an upgrade available to 9.3.x, but I get an error when uninstalling / installing...
