Connecting ONT device to DC UPS

Thanks for the info. Although it doesn't make sense to me that the battery would shut off and not the ONT? Also, how does one access the software of the ONT?

The idea behind all of this is to shut down power feed to all but the minimum needed to keep the voice ports going and working, thus extending battery back up life.
Internet access is considered to be a value add not the main service delivered.

You might not have access to the sw. I would suggest you just get yourself a backup inverter PSU and be done with it.
