solved - connecting to router in windows 7
Im trying to connect my windows 7 laptop to my wired router and ran into the following problem:
I go to control panel > connect to internet > no create a new connection > broadband (PPPoe) (the other options are wireless and dial-up)
but now it wants me to put in a username/password given by my isp. That info is already stored in my router, why does windows 7 want it again? Ubuntu and windows xp just plug in and work without setting up any of that stuff. I dont have that info readily available. Is there any other way to do this?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT- I just left out the password and stuff and it connected anyway. Man I suck at windows stuff
