connection drops problem!

How frequent are the drops?

I have found in the past that some routers are more tolerant of bad lines, so see if you can borrow another make/model and see if that helps. Billion were good in my case. And get your port reset. Seriously.
i have disabled bitswap and the drops are less now. usually it drops every 20 min but now it drops 5-7/day
i will buy TP-link TD-W8961N and see what comes up.
what do you mean reset my post? i'm a new member sorry :)

sorry for misunder misunderstanding (port/post :p)

Pick up the landline phone connected to that ADSL line. What do you hear? Chances are if your line is dropping, you'll be hearing buzzing or cracking via the phone speaker, which indicates a line problem (usually due to poor/eroded copper, bad joints, or flooded manholes). Nothing new on Telkom's network though, of course. My line's doing it too, as we speak. Same story every summer. F telkom

Sure, but the man is in Tunisia. Good advice though.
