Since last night, and still this morning, I have been getting "Error 720 - The connection attempt failed because your computer and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control protocols" more often than not. Sometimes an "Error 678 - There was no answer" in between.

Anyone else been getting this Error 720? This is the first time I have seen that error, and occurs when using both MySignal and the supplied dialler, although the latter doesn't report the error number just the message. Nothing has changed on my system, and it was working perfectly earlier yesterday. I have tried rebooting, re-starting the diallers etc. I have been able to sucessfully re-connect a few times in between these unsuccessful re-connects, so it doesn't seem to be a problem on my side. I did find a mention of Error 720 under the "Staic IP" thread, but I have never even tried that, and my system (Win2K pro SP4) has always been set to dynamically get the IP adresses. I won't even bother to phone support - they will just tell me it is my problem!

I had numerous 680 errors this morning at 07h00. By 07h20 I was connected though. I think that there was some work on the network this morning. What tower are you using?

MW128, Tower 50 (Northpark Plaza), Signal:12%,S-N-L: 5, BER: 40% (f@#$ing reflector broke)

Been getting the same PPP protocol thing since yesterday. Using the dialler on Win98, it will connect/disconnect once or twice with the PPP protocol error, after that it'll connect just fine

128K|21%|13SNL|66 Menlopark 2530

MW128 - Tower [22-nb2] La Montagne, Pretoria. Signal varies from about [19%, ber=57%, snl=10] to [23%, ber=71%, snl=13].

I also had that error around 7:30 last night, tried again at 10:30, still got it, called helldesk and as Kallie picked up the phone it connected, but anyway he opened a ticket straight away (28 tickets since my other one on the 12th). Also running Loss98

Since yesterday I also have to try connect several times before I eventually connect. I'm on 102 (Fourways Xchange), 2.53GHz node.
