Hi all,

I have a friend who is having some issues with his iBurst.
Long story short;

He has tried to call/e-mail them but there is no help (reply) and it's been a problem for a couple of months now - Kenilworth area, according to the iBurst web site, there is a problem with the Kenilworth (coverage) and the problems he is experiencing started round 3 months ago, he has network coverage issues, he had 100% but now he is lucky if he gets 30%, also doesn't matter where he puts the aerial, hell, he has sat on the roof with his notebook and still no coverage.

Is there anyone from iBurst who 'cares' enough to help solve this problem?

If a "iBurst" rep cares enough to help, PM me and I'll get his details for you.

I have your PM. Please reply with the requested details and I'll have it followed up.

Hi rooi, I have contacted the person in question, he will reply ASAP and I will reply to you ASAP, in that reply, I'll pass on his contact details so anymore communication can be done directly instead of via me.

Hi r00igev@@r,

Just got a SMS from him, he is in class till 4 (he is a studying paramedic) and will only be able to reply to me by 5pm.
I'll pass the information on ASAP.

Thanks!

Hi r00igev@@r,

I've sent the necessary information onto you via PM now, please contact the user directly - I've asked the user in question to keep me updated with regards to his issue (if it gets sorted out and what not) and how the support was handled so I can update this thread accordingly.

Thanks!

Hi r00igev@@r,

See below, reply from user...

So these Iburst guys have come and tested my connection as per my last email.. Today, I have a 40% pathetically slow connection...

Do you think that anyone has actually followed up with me.. They know my connection is poked,, but still no joy..I am at the end of my tether with these guys.... Customer service... My ass.... The only other thing I can do now is cancel and Find another ISP..

Any suggestions??

Is this how you guys deal with customers?!?

Rumors have it, he might need an antenna, I'm actually curious to see if you guys actually have the CHEEK to charge the user in question for the antenna - that said, one minute his connection works fine, then you guys do things and it doesn't work and then HE gets told HE has to buy an antenna... not even NEOTEL were that pathetic... they fitted the bill for the antenna! (when I was with Neotel)

I'll request the feedback from customer services.

Any feedback yet? It's almost 3pm, I'm sure you could've found out by now.
I want to contact the user tonight and chat about what is happening or at least give him some good news with what is going to happen.

See reply from user.

Dude! So the good news... Yesterday morning I received a phone call from Iburst, To quote: "Good day sir, we believe you are still having connection issues Will you be home this afternoon so we can come install an antenna for you. It will be done at Ibursts expense."

They arrived yesterday afternoon and installed it and the problem seams to be fixed.

So i am finally sorted. It just irritates me that we have to resort to writing on forums to get joy, but yes, I finally have the problem fixed.

Shot for the help.

Thanks Rooi for the help too! :)
