Connection issues

Hi there,

Even though I mostly have 4 bars and can often download at around 20M my connection is really poor. When opening pages they often show no connection or page not available. Today for instance, downloads are constantly stopping and restarting and many pages have to be refreshed multiple times before showing.

Any idea how to approach Telkom with this issue as past experience tells me I'll just be given the run around?

Note about traceroute:
Some hops will always time out. This is normal, as some servers ignore ping packets. However these hops which do respond should return repeatable results. Above ping times are not good (other than from lowdart18), here is example connection from Cell C:

Chop what router are you using ?

Instead of a tracert to google try IP 216.58.223.36

Think I managed to sort out the problem for now.

My phone over wifi didn't give the same issues so I thought it might be the switch or the cabling. After I changed my network cable connection stability has improved dramatically. I did have low speeds last night but I think that is a different issue.

So for now I'm sorted. thanks guys.

I'm in Robindale, think I'm connecting to the Linden tower. Had 1MB speed last night and 3MB tonight, rather crap. In the day its about 18MB.

I'm in Honeydew, and mine is back up now. But other poeple in surrounding areas (Weltevredenpark etc) are still having issues
