I'm getting frequent 'Connection Timed Out' messages for various websites, local and international.

Refreshing often helps, but I might need to refresh a page a few times.

All websites are taking long to load! Pinging overseas websites has a packet loss of about 7%.

I'd say it's been happening the last few weeks. I'm on a 4096 Kbps connection.

I have tried using dsl-cache.saix.net:8080 as a proxy, but to no avail.

Any ideas what's going on? Is it just me?

:D

@ henkk78: makes sense.

BTW no problems here (except that first day or two of the quake.)

I'm having similar problems, websites timing out, been like this for the past few days, but getting worse!... anybody else know what's going on ??? I'm on Openweb

buzz off to your pub flyboy :D

Openweb happens to be one of the best ISP's i've dealt with despite what you may think - i'm sure others will agree - so don't badmouth them. IS is known to be slower than SAIX. I signed on with them fully knowing this. Slight bit of speed you loose is nothing compared to the uncapped gigs i pull in a month. I'm currently sitting on 45gigs and its only the 7th!

So you do what you think is best for you, Stick with SAIX - I had it with SAIX long ago!. 3Gig is not Internet, its a handout!.
