Hi all

Are there any HomeConnect clients in the Garden Route or P.E areas on Frogfoot? I'm considering them, but don't know much about them...

Home-Connect ISP Feedback

I have been using Cipherwave / Home-Connect's 100/100Mbps package for the past two weeks and I have SADV (SA Digital Villages) as my fibre provider. My experience thus far has been extremely positive. I have been seeing constant speeds of 95Mbps+ and my downloads on Steam, Origin, etc...

Realistically you should get the same experience anywhere unless your actual fibre link/backhaul is an issue. A lot of people complain about home-connect poor international speed and shaping of certain services, this will be across the whole ISP instead of per region.
 
Thanks Cryptic, yeah that is what I picked up as well, but the latency isn't bad... but will investigate more...
 
They have big names behind them... strange that people complain about their lack of support and international speed though.

hey Thor, what city/town are you in? It seems it is mostly the coastal areas affected?
 
I'm with HC trenched on Frogfoot in CPT and have been happy with them since November last year, but since the recent free line speed upgrades my international performance seems to be capped at 30 megs on a 200 meg line.

My international speed issues only started when the free line upgrades went through, before the upgrade I was running at almost full line speed all the time but now international is hovering from 30 to 5 megs on a supposed 200 meg line. Rather go with MTS or Cool ideas.
