Hey there,

I'm really frustrated with Cell C at the moment.

I ported over to Cell C from Vodacom due to the cheaper call rate which was appealing, but soon after that not anymore.

I have constant call drops whenever someone's trying to call me. Just this morning in almost 30 seconds my calls dropped and the person had to call back twice before giving up and contacted me on my Land line. I never have this problems on my Vodacom phone. I'm on the brink of porting back to Vodacom this week.

The same is with my father that he also gets dropped calls and that as soon as he roams over to Vodacom he can't use his Internet at all.

He went into a Cell C Store earlier this year and explained to them the issue, but it seems that the store consultants is not clued about Network issues or why he can't use Internet when roaming.

Also we have in certain parts of our house almost no signal on Cell C and it seems that even standing outside the signal is still crap. Is the Network starting to get overpopulated or what with all the new "deals" which is coming up, that existent customers must be suffering it.

FIX IT!!

Hey there,

FIX IT!!

Welcome to the world of CellC. I did exact same mistake two years ago. Was a never ending story of dropped calls, weak signal if any. Roaming with VC was not helping, because my I-net was not working. In my lounge the signal is OK-ish, but i must stand still to avoid any drop calls or interference . Till this day i can not make or receive calls from my bedroom, where there is no signal at all, which was forcing me to keep my phone in the kitchen or lounge. Needless to say i did not have any of the above problems with Vodacom for 8 years. Luckily my contract expires on 08.04 and i'm going back. For me the 50-100 rand save a month is not worth it for all the frustration that i had for the past two years.
Regarding "FIX IT!!" With all my heart I wish you Good Luck with that. For two years i could not get them to do it! My advice to you would be run Forest run.

I renewed my corporate contract with vodacom. I tired cell c 4 years ago, then 2 years and then from Jan 2013. It's getting worse. I was going to port but so glad i didn't. It's so frustrating not been able to use your data. My battery wears down faster as I had to use 3G. Then voice quality... Even standing outside its terrible in the heart of town. Many emails and phone calls to their tech support line and no change.
