Consumers are continuing to keep their wallets tightly shut, according to data released on Thursday.
Figures released by the SA Reserve Bank indicated that private sector credit demand dropped by 1.59 percent annually for the month of November. October's figure was 0.42 percent.
For the same period, growth in the broadly defined M3 measure of money supply was 0.58 percent. In October the figure was 2.67 percent.
