Contingency for worst case SA

I feel like its a bad time to start moving money and I don't have much.

I have never been one to scare easy but starting to think about making the change. There are a few opportunities for us overseas but I doubt they will work out if the sheeat hits the fan.

I wont wait for things to get worse but I am confident that things can get better.

feelings of oppression. past and present, being possessed solely by the disadvantaged (non-white) groups because the the whites have not experienced that sort of oppression before. Therefore, there is a lack of empathy and understanding from the one side, who are claimed to be simply disregarding of the past so easily

Very few of them have foreign visas or are wealthy, but they are all well qualified, I'm sure that helps.

Yes, I'm sure a bachelors and then some would help. What are some of the countries that they are going to?
 
My plan is benefitting from the fallout or picking up some cheapies from some of the chicken runners.

You don’t need a visa nor skills to go to flee to any SADC country as a South African.

This thought has crossed my mind a few times over the past few days, the gupta mentality of leech it for all it's worth and GTFO.

I've reached a point where I will no longer be investing anything towards a future here, even something as simple as planting a tree.

Will ride this out for a year or two more but for now I'll be putting all my effort into making sure we can up and leave in two years.
 
I am already long gone, but I am my family's contingency plan. I have been saving for years so that they will be covered in the eventuality that they need to leave.

:) For my folks this would be a valid avenue (would take a few years though). Otherwise, some family members have EU passports and others I may be able to settle via investment visas.

To enter the country you don’t.

Once there apply for a visa or refugee status, should allow you to stay for a while more even if rejected. With the level of corruption there, shouldn’t be too hard.

Ah, now I get it. Tks:)
 
- keep lots of assets in offshore brokerage accounts.
- local assets in rands, mostly liquid, would need to sell in a hurry so would take a hit there, but for now am using them still.
- RA would be abandoned at that time, still busy investing into it whilst working in SA.
- Access bond would be drawn and transferred, keeping it open.
- Passports are ready (non-SA), family in lots of places.
- Living like an expat in the country of my birth.

Did you open the Swiss account while in Switzerland with a local address?
