Contract ending prob.

My contract ends next month and I can't renew it as I am emigrating next year. Do I have to give a written cancellation or has that law been passed by now?
Also when it gets cancelled, will the SIM be disabled as I still need to use it as Prepaid till I leave?

Contract should go on month to month automatically. Or you could elect to go prepaid.

+1. It will just continue month to month until you give 30 days notice. Not sure about prepaid.

You just need to send an email to the relevant address requesting contract cancellation and conversion to prepaid. Easy as that
