Contract termination clarification

Hi

I have notified cellc that I would like to cancel my contract. The contract is month to month. I confirmed termination on the 8th of June and was told the cancellation required a 1 month notice. I was also told that even though the contract can be cancelled by the 8th of July, I will still be charged for the full month of July. I thus opted for the contract to run until the end of July since I paying for the full month. I just wanted to clarify if cellc are allowed to do this?
 
What does your contract say?
The one that has your physical signature on it.

1 calendar month notice
30 days notice

We can still convert your contract to prepaid. You will still need to settle the current bill and usage if there is any.
