I am lucky enough to not have mouth herpes - GF does - she says as you age the chance of spreading is lessened. Is this true?

I have gone this long without them not a damn am I getting them now.

LOL thats BS. It will infect you no matter your age. Just dont kiss her when she has them...and no BJs!! LOL else you'll have oral herpes on your dick!

ewwwwwwwwwwww

Take her to be tested. "mouth herpes" yeah I like how she's being so specific. Dump her!

My wife gets cold sores as well and I have not gotten any in the 13 years we've been together - perhaps I am naturally immune.

Take a dose of folic acid (2 pills a day), it help prevent it. You can get a 100 pills for R13 at the pharmacy.

Herpes! let's stop calling it "cold sores". That's like calling HIV, "immune system sores"

Doesn't mean you don't have the herps, you may just not have any symptoms.

Lol, actually most of us have the herpes simplex virus, just that in some people this becomes more prominant and manifests as cold sores, can be from poor imune system and even stress.

If you get it, chances are you will only get one round of it as cold sores then probably wont get it again. From what I understand its not the same as genital herpes, but I wouldnt ask her for a BJ if she had cold sores :P

Are we talking about the common fever blister on the lip or the genital STD?
Well if its the common fever blister most people are already infected they just have no symptoms.

Yip.

The mouth one can cause the genital one. And no matter your age they will be infectious.

Tell the g/f to buy L-lysine. 500mg to 1mg a day should stop them for good.
