But the tone and implications of your post were not as clear to some readers (myself) as you may have hoped and your intentions could not clearly be implied as either innocent or sinister. Instead of getting defensive off the bat you may have served yourself better by clarifying yourself or by making your op clearer. Reread your first post without bias and you may see that it is somewhat ambiguous - or at least it was for some of us. The indignant defensive replies have done little to justify your cause to boot

@ OP, I am by no means a conservative, however, if any child (yes, yes, the definition is arbitrary but under 16 by law = child in SA) engaged with me (IRL or on Social Media) in a sexualised manner, I'd be out of there so fast I'd have whiplash.

Sexual curiosity and underage don't mix - you have to draw the line somewhere.

It would be different if you were 14 (which I don't think you are) - re-read your OP objectively and tell me that you don't open yourself up to being called a pedo when you say that you are 'curious' about a 14 year old's sexual habits and preferences.

Anyway I get this msg from a random ''girl'' saying she was a 14 year old transsexual, now I know I shouldn't have but I was curious because I didn't know what a Transsexual was so I replied asking.

From the OP it seems the convo started something like this :

Nothing too sinister about that.

Had it been:

He actually said that you have to watch out for children sending you bikini pics (indicating that this is something he does not want and/or enjoy) and that the only reason he spoke to this kid about her sexuality was out of curiosity. Nowhere did he give any indication that he solicits minors or has solicited minors.

I - like Nicci - found no indication that it was something he did not enjoy and that bold line does not indicate a damn thing. I too read this with more than a little concern. Because Nicci has a habit of going off on a tangent does not mean that she is necessarily wrong or has her head up her ass. If the OP's intention was to inspire innocence, he failed. He said shouldn't have engaged her in discussion, but he did. That much should have been clear to anyone with a lick of sense. He wasn't implying he shouldn't have accepted her nudes or anything of the like.

Sexual orientation, not sex. There's a massive difference. Jesus Christ Nicci, get a grip. Talking to a teenager about his/her transexuality is no different to talking to a teenager about homosexuality. There's a massive difference between discussing sexual orientation and 'sex praatjies.'

I think you lost the plot. I have a grip thank you very much. I am not the one that's confused about my sexuality... It's not a family member or a friend. It is a child on a dirty chat site looking for sexual what ever it is they are looking for. He is on a site where ppl send nude pictures of themselves. Basically a porn site. Stop being so naive please. It is not a bloody sex talk like you have with your child. It is illegal child pornography and if you condone it then I have lost every ounce of respect I had for you.

So having a short conversation about sexual orientation = illegal child pornography? Holy **** Nicci, get a grip and some perspective. If he actually sent or received anything sexual from her, I would understand, but he merely asked her about her sexual orientation and left it at that.

I have been with a lot of transsexuals and yes, most of them did undergo HRT before they hit puberty. This is nothing new and is quite common.
