Can you confert a vodacom voice package ( weekender ) to a data package? And if so can you still phone from that nr?
 
Yes and Yes....but if you are still within contract there might be a fee involved. PM me the number and tell me to what Data Package you would like to go and I will check on the system if there will be any cost.
 
Or is it possible to bolt the 2 gig for 149 on to my existing voice contract?

No. It is a tariff...not a VAS. If you have a number that is due for upgrade then you can migrate to this new package. The number HAS to be due for upgrade though. Migrating a line that is not due is not allowed on the system.
 
ocleroux, I have a TopUp 140 contract and have to remove the sim and replace it with my Sainet data sim continuously to go on the internet. I use 1G pm and only need R10.00 voice time.
Can I have this converted or can I bolt onto it?

No. Its not that. I can't smell anything on my side. It just took me 24 hrs to open this page at 0.1 KB/s

Unfortunately our system is currently down for maintenance. I am not sure how long it will be till it is back up and running. I will check every now and again to see if I can access it. I will revert back here as soon as its up.

I hope you dont mind me posting it here. I prefer to post in the forum as much as possible as it might assist others in future.

The reason why I wanted your number was to check if it is not perhaps due for upgrade. What we could have done then is migrate you to the Mofaya 2 gig deal @ R149 top up (no night owl). You would then have 2Gigs a month and could load extra airtime as you wished for calls.

Unfortunately the number is not due for upgrade and thus it is not possible. What you can do though is use your airtime to buy data bundles using *111# and following the prompts.

Thanks OC. Will have to wait for upgrade time. The 1G prepaid at R285 is too high for me compared to Sainet's R249.
Thanks for the info on contracts that are much cheaper.

The R149 2 gig is a promo , the normal price for the 2 gig VAS is R349 for a standard bundle and R385 for Advanced.
