Thats awesome, never noticed/seen mini weber before:)

Had one for a while but lost it. Would get another but we've got a mid-sized gas weber-q so it's kind of pointless… at least that's what the missus would claim

Filled mine up last around 4 years ago.
It's about half way now.

Using your CADAC as decor ornament I see? hehehe
I love using gas for preparing meals even when Eskom is on, it has a humbling feeling about it

I've also got a 57cm weber.

Doh... tell her cooking a small item on large braai could be hazardous to ones health, smoke to food ratio is all out of balance. Its also requires more fuel and is adding to global warming. Having a smaller option for emergencies is more financially viable and is helping save the planet:)

Was looking at those earlier, saw this: http://www.expeditionaustralia.com.au/2015/03/banned-portable-butane-gas-stoves/ makes me a bit scared to get one...

Yes, I saw that too.... I think the gel stove is probably my best bet.

BTW, it's not a fear of fire/matches, it's just that I if manage to cut my finger open while slicing a tomato, I'm not the best person to trust around open flame. As it is I keep plasters and burn gel in the kitchen for ready access :D I'm not that keen on going outside in the dark and cold and rain to braai... plus I have a pet bird, so I need to consider the air quality for him (although gas seems to be considered safe, at least as safe as it is for a person).

lol, Must admit, I do prefer to make a fire than use gas.

Over the weekend I started experimenting with rocket stoves. I think I shall be building one to keep close to the braai area though. Freaking amazing little devices.

I have seen the cost comparison between gas and electricity for cooking , but I wonder if anyone had done one comparing wood , charcoal , whatever other method there is vs electricity ;)

Get one of those long butane lighters used for braai, then you don't have to stand too close.
