Cool ADSL deals

Oh my word, this article...I was really hoping it would be a post of some new price cuts...but we already know this :( :(

Throttling is killing me at the moment...
 
Openweb is offering free access to its Titan uncapped ADSL products for January to all new subscribers. Prices range between R149 for a 2Mbps service and R399 for a 10Mbps account.

Last I heard Titan Uncapped accounts were sold out. :erm:
 
Screw the price decreases. This year Telkom would spend this year improving their network. Look to drive cost again from next year.
 
Guys word of advice stay away from openweb specials they do not deliver what they promise , I have cancelled my subscription and can't wait to get a new isp ...... I feel it is my duty to inform other consumers of my experience as they should not believe the adverts placed by openweb
 
This is the year I end my Telkom boycott and go uncapped. I never saw the need for an internet connection at home since I do my massive downloads from work: from entire seasons of my favourite shows, to music videos, to games (both for my smartphone and pc) and patches, to software dev kits, to random software... By the time I got home, I saw no need for more internet. Until I heard that uncapped ADSL costs less than DSTV. Ive seen a few posts here on sites where I can still watch/stream live sports. So articles like this are quite useful to me! The comments from their customers are even more useful. I won't rush into anything, as contracts frighten me. Keep up the good work MyBB!

That's misappropriation of company assets, which basically amounts to theft. Doesn't matter what size the company is and how high the profit margins, you're having a direct affect on their bottom line. Should you get caught, you will be fired.
Should the legal authorities be informed and find pirated content, your company could face heavy fines for having the content on their systems AND you will get fired and possibly prosecuted.

Suddenly, it doesn't sound like such a good idea, does it?

I moved from mweb to openweb. Since September 2013 I have no issues.
 
@tron. Perks of being the IT guy. My boss already knows. Everybody downloads something. I just restrict everybody (and myself) to certain times, like lunch, after work or on days we're not so busy.
I don't recall mentioning piracy. Oh well, I'm sure you good folks must have terrible memories of prison cells after getting arrested for possesing pirated content.

The comment is pointless if you don't give the reasons why you say they don't deliver on their promises. I am with Openweb and despite shaping during the day their after hours connection is great! So I am reasonably satisfied with them. (I am on the Gamers King 4 mbps uncapped account). I moved from Afrihost uncapped because they pretty much shape all the time.

You don't mention piracy by the word but by "downloading my favourite TV series and games" smacks of piracy. Or did you pay for it?
