Depends on the turnaround from the SP. With OS and CrystalWeb it also was within 2-3 weeks, it is not as if they can fast-forward, stop or start installation queues. Of course I left CW for CiSP last year already..

Sigh that is sad news :(
Gonna have to do PoE league start on LTE

Cool Ideas told me 2 or 3 days because I have Openserve fibre installed already and my router is compatible.
Bad advice!!! WebAfrica cancelled my Openserve line on 1 February so I am waiting 32 days for a new CPE / ONT to be installed. Crazy process by Openserve when I had a working line.

OS has a rather bad system and portal in place. I had to wait about 14 days while CiSP tried to capture my line from the holding pool after CW transferred it there. However with recent CW events I have to wonder now if it was not more to do with CW..

You should totally fight wenafrica on this because now you have to trigger a new install. Lucky CISP does not charge for installation otherwise you had to fork out R2850 for install.'Which is usually R2300 for install and R550 for activation.

Once you have a line installed and you cancel with your current ISP and you don't owe them anything they have to release the line to the holding pool or you just going to keep on paying for installation every time you switch ISP.

Yip, that's about right. I waited I think exactly 3 weeks. During this time nobody will contact you. You must follow up yourself. After week one, I was told that I can't expect much movement before week two. After week two I was told that OpenServe had "failed my location". Their words. On week three a contractor for OpenServe installed his little black box and littler white box. I called CISP to give them a number written on the box's box. Next day I received the overnight express router from CISP.
