I contacted Afrihost on Friday, 3 April to report intermittent disconnections that required me to manually restart my router and ONT every time. The following day, Saturday 4 April, a Frogfoot technician came out, ran some tests, and left me with the assurance that Afrihost simply needed to reconnect my line and everything would be sorted. That was nearly a week ago. I still do not have a working internet connection.Since then, I have phoned multiple times and logged numerous tickets through the WhatsApp support line — a support line staffed by agents who are, frankly, completely out of their depth. Getting through to anyone with actual technical knowledge is impossible. And once a ticket is logged? You are met with absolute silence. No updates, no follow-ups, nothing — unless you chase them down and beg for information. This is not support. This is a company that takes your money, breaks your service, and then leaves you in the dark hoping you'll eventually give up.If you are shopping around for an ISP, I urge you — do not choose Afrihost. I genuinely cannot fathom how they have accumulated the awards they claim to have won. Whatever standard they were held to then, they are clearly not meeting it now.

Has anyone experienced anything similar and did you manage to resolve the issue?

Similar experience with Afrihost lately, I'm with them almost 5 years now, but lately since I log an cancellation, their level of service went really disappointing, as I didn't expect that.

Good day, Frik.

Should you require any further assistance, you are welcome to contact us.

I'm having the same issues with afrihost on openserve, I have contacted afrigirl and afrinatic directly. Very disappointed with the level of service lately. I've been an afrihost client since adsl was only 384kpbs and 512kbps. My mobile lte is more responsive than my fibre at times and the issue is intermittent , like today my internet was fine from 6am until about 11am the connection drops started and buffering. Upload was dead couldn't even run a speedtest. They keep running me through varies tests I have sent off a couple of emails showing speedtest, ping plotter results etc @Afrigirl @AfriNatic

And my issue was reported in Feb/March, this is beginning to bring back Telkom memories where people tell me it's the router then I end up replacing hardware only to have the same issues.

@Afrigirl @AfriGuy @AfriFella @AfriNatic issue still ongoing since 9th of Feb, today I see my ticket was no longer active. I will be starting my cancellation of my afrihost services by the end of the week. I think I have been patient enough. It's time to give up on afrihost. I'm paying for an inferior service. This is Telkom adsl all over again.

Might be worth posting this on their main thread?
