this has felt very much similar to back in the day when they got DDoS
If this is the case they should just be open about it. Strange how other ISPs don't buckle under these types of attacks as frequently though.

Yeah if that is the case it really does suck. Hoping for the best as CISP really is a great ISP.The fact PB and Rodent are no where to be seen means this is probably pretty serve, this has felt very much similar to back in the day when they got DDoS neither were around since they were working with the teams to mitigate the attacks and they have used the word "mitigate".
I am on the edge of my seat about to jump as well but i need to save as much as i can since i want to leave this country so a double internet bill is gonna hurt that....
I am trying to not be a jerk or to come across as aggressive but it's a lot less than "not ideal". We've already seen several people leave your ISP over this issue and several more are likely to follow.I will see what I can do, however they are hard at work, and involved in this issue currently.
I understand the feedback provided thus far is not ideal, however I will do my best to get any updates as soon as they are provided. I have relayed this posts through regardless, however as mentioned they are actively involved in the resolution of this outage.
For now, I will be advising on the latest's when I'm capable of doing so.
Nothing in https://coolideas.co.za/announcements/ but clearly something is very wrong.
Hi @DrJohnZoidberg - you can find the announcement here https://coolideas.co.za/announcements/30225Nothing in https://coolideas.co.za/announcements/ but clearly something is very wrong.
Afrihost left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth when I tried to join them back in 2019 where for no reason they blocked my account. And asked me to send them my ID, even though it was sent for RICA purposes,I moved over to Afrihost. Took a bit of time to move but that's because they had an old FSAN number for my ONT so it delayed the move. @NickZA_ moved over within 2 hours this morning as well.
Thanks, missed it as I was expecting it to be under the general section.Hi @DrJohnZoidberg - you can find the announcement here https://coolideas.co.za/announcements/30225
After a prolonged break from gaming I finally decided to try again last week. I definitely picked the wrong time to try. The disconnects have made gaming impossible for me.Becoming a serious joke this week. Anyone else able to game?

Kindly please expedite my request so I can have the opportunity to sign up with another service before COB.
Stop wasting your time with CI. They have been having these issues since the beginning of the year.Been pretty atrocious this afternoon.
CISP still has low ping when it's working, tested it out yesterday and I get 20ms less to Blizzard EU and 80ms less to Blizzard USA than an Afrihost test account.
But that ping advantage mostly disappears when you have to use a VPN like Warp. And even if I did cancel now I still have to pay 31 July and 31 August.
Gonna have to see over the next 3 weeks if the way forward is staying on CISP plus Warp or going Afrihost+Exitlag. Cost is pretty much the same either way too and thankfully switching with Openserve is quicker and easier than other lines.
I was actually gonna ask if Openserve cancellations / moves are easier than other FNOsGonna have to see over the next 3 weeks if the way forward is staying on CISP plus Warp or going Afrihost+Exitlag.
