Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 5

Both paths have been stable at 140 and 146 for quite some time, 6ms isn't a huge difference relatively speaking :).

They have dropped off Equiano for now, hence why it's flat again.
Something was up last night though because my Twitch was buffering. My Youtube was fine though and it was the same time as we were seeing the buildings

HI, so this was the feedback received from upstream, and has also been resolved.

"Kindly note that we had a failure on our core between Lisbon<>London on the main path and the services had switched to protect the route."

We're not seeing any flaps, which FNO? Any commonalities?

Vuma trenched, Durban North. Closed pingplotter so that is my only traceroute above.
It went down twice, first for about 30 seconds and then for a few minutes

Not seeing flaps on my monitoring either, could have been FNO related.
Has the issue cleared up completely?
Below is a ping via CPT<>JHB<>KZN

Are anyone else down at the moment? Internet have been up and down, but now mostly down. Frogfoot, Helderberg.

I don't see any notices.

Is there a unreported outage somewhere?

Can't speak for other things, but YT is dropping out every few minutes and then returning. Now my connection just completely dropped and came back multiple times. Additionally upload performance is still completely in the gutter. You have a network issue that began late last week, please stop pussyfooting around on it, it's starting to get exceptionally frustrating.

Youtube has been giving bad performance for a while now for everyone just look at the Afrihost thread Google even did maintenance on their cache's which seemed to make things worse

Afrihost has the same problem, so I'm not so sure it's a CISP specific issue.

Apart from the YT thing, your Upload speed is not supposed to be fluctuating heavily like that. Would you be able to send some speed tests to our support, So that they could take it up with your FNO?
The best way to speed up the process, would be to include Direct Dial up tests, to rule out your equipment for the FNO.
