I always check on the manufacturer's SA website to see what generation the "special price" TVs are. They tend to to older models, perhaps one or two series older than what is currently available (but the later models at a much higher price of course)

I wish I was in the market for a new TV.... some nice stuff out there at decent prices.

I bought a Sony 40" 3D LED TV not long ago (40EX720) for R5500, but came with a DVB-T tuner. The rest works fine tho.
