Pity the 2.5 V6 was never a reliable mill. It was at least serviceable with the timing components at the front of the engine. The 2.7 and 3.0 TDI had timing chains at the rear of the engine, so those jobs were engine-out jobs.

I have done a few Audis in my time here and there, mostly engine in-situ things

If I were to do it myself, engine always comes out I do not have the special tools for in-situ work
