Have the same cooler and for the price, it's very good. Got the TT Blue Orb now, so I can do some OCing now.
Yes, it's a good cooler....
Idle temps are around 30C, load never goes over 60C, Prime95 tested it goes to about 63C but thats not real world... This is with an overclock of 600Mhz... So awesome in my opinion... Had it at 3.2 but temps started touching the 70C with Prime95, so I just eased it back, 3.0Ghz is enough for what Im doing

It is the best air cooler available and is half the price of the V10 - though you do have to buy your own fans (up to three) but I see that as a plus so you can get the fans you want.

Ugly but they are kings in cooling, only thing that comes close to a Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme Heatsink is the Cooler Master V8 but I would go for the V8 any day.

Just comparing what I know, can't comment on something that I'm vague on.
