Even the 'traffices' know that "Speed limits" and "Speed kills" is b*sh*t.
Accidents kill, not speed. Speed in the right circumstances is quite safe.
A fixed speed limit for a road that is meant to apply to all weather, traffic, pedestrian, vehicle & driver conditions is the dumbest concept ever.
There are many times speed limits are too high, and many times they are too low. Its just a dumb idea.
There should be more emphasis on having licensed drivers, road worthy cars (annual road worthy tests like England), drivers who are actually decent and cops giving out fines for poor behaviour on the road.
Cops that you can actually SEE REGULARLY, DOING SOMETHING. Not one or two hiding somewhere eating doughnuts and stealing our money while pretending to be making the roads safer.
Its hardly their fault. Its the government that doesn't care. Cops don't get good training, they don't get paid much. They have no decent leadership.
During the world cup is one of the few times I've felt safe walking around town.
The government said they employed 90,000 new cops for the world cup. That must bring the total up to about 91,000...
Speeding fines is just a way for the government to legally rob people while providing no benefit to them.
