COPE ANC Coalition

You do realise too that the DA could in fact be behind all these rumours themselves as that would encourage people to vote DA and not COPE for fear of COPE joining the ANC?

Something to think about. I wouldn't be so quick to believe anything just yet.

The fact of the matter is (as GodZille would say) that the DA is absolutely behind this conspiracy theory:
"I do believe there is a possibility that Cope may form a coalition with the ANC... Dandala's statement about going into coalition lends credence to that belief, as does his general attitude towards the ANC," she [Zille] said at the time.

In a statement on Wednesday, Cope spokesman Onkgopotse JJ Tabane said the party sadly noted the DA's distortion of this position for cheap political gain.

He said the party was seeking to fuel baseless conspiracy theories.

Lets face it, on all the issues that actually matter to whites (like BEE), COPE will have the same views as the ANC and will vote that way in parliament.

Are you sure about that? According Lekota:
Lekota said black economic empowerment had been used to give a select few jobs while the poor were left behind. "BEE is not empowerment. Empowerment must be about giving - start from the poorest of the poor."

Lekota said COPE wanted people with knowledge and skills hired for jobs. "If COPE members don't know how to run the city of Durban, we must hire a city manager. It doesn't matter which political party he's from, " he added. - Sapa

Are you sure about that? According Lekota:

And Zuma said afrikaners are african. Do you really think we are so gullible that we believe anything they say. COPE is the ANC, they are the same people.

Dude the whites should have thought about this long ago and we would not be in this mess, i can tell you now we had better hope and prey zuma does not harbour any feelings about the past because the fact we have not had a revenge type person in power is amazing.

The whites moan so much in this country but i can assure you of one thing we can be lucky we still live so well because i do not know what i would have done if i was mandela but i know it would not have ended as it has that is for sure.

The whites will never have a say in this country again. Back on topic though it makes no sense for the ANC to get start a new party as COPE has a bit of support and could be the main reason they do not get 2/3's.

And Zuma said afrikaners are african. Do you really think we are so gullible that we believe anything they say. COPE is the ANC, they are the same people.

But we quickly get upset and believe them if they say "We'll fight for Zuma".

Obviously, they have demonstrated time and time again how easy it is to mobilise the masses to fight.

I doubt that the ANC was feeling so threatened by the DA that they would go to such lengths, aikhona!
The DA is more competition to the likes of ID, IFP and UDM. The ANC is in a league of it's own, even after the split.;)

If you lose a lot of votes... like they will... it sets a precedent for the next elections...

This is exactly what the DA is counting on ... and this is exectly what the ANC is worried about  wake up :D

But we quickly get upset and believe them if they say "We'll fight for Zuma".

Lol. Ya, the part we didn't believe was when they stood up and said "Apologies, Joe Public. This moronic embarrassment is talking nonsense and shall be reprimanded immediately."

Doh. Wait. They didn't say that.

I don't see this happening.

The split between the two factions of the ANC has been coming for a while. Polokwane was just the catalyst that slip the ANC.

COPE has stated on the record that they will not engage in a coalition with the ANC and I believe them. There is just too much animosity.

Now the ID would jump into bed with the ANC at the first opportunity, just as they did after the last elections.
