I didnt read all you BS but white people are still racist they just dont realize they are most of the time(calling people stupid, monkey's thiefs etc etc). Black people are racist now since they have now been granted the opportunity to be, (revenge).

I seriously don't think that will happen! COPE wants nothing to do with ANC and would be going against everything they stand for if they aligned themselves with the ANC.
 
Look i hope i am not wrong about COPE, i do not think they are going to go running back the anc anytime soon. Considering i voted for them i would feel gutted and let down so badly.

COPE will be happy with what they are achieving! Certainly no 'epic fail'.

That can never be ruled out. I mean who would have thought the ANC and NP would have merged?

But I think there is FAR too much bad blood between the two, IMO. But we are talking about POLITICIANS here. ;)
 
If the ANC and COPE were to merge we would have CAC POEN, a party all South Africans can relate to...

The Epic fail part is not directed at the party as such. But the hype and the "hope" people associated with COPE. This i largely blame on the media. They made COPE out to be a top contender and direct competition to the ANC. Yes, they got about 8% so far which is very good for a party that is only 4 months old. But I think the hype/arrogance was premature. 8% is hardly competition for the ANC or the DA

Anyway, COPE and DA coalition might just be the right thing to do to challenge the ANC. When that happens, Julius will say, "You seeee, COPE has sold out the black people to that racist white woman". For the DA to get the black vote, I don't know how to put it but, they need to stop "opposing" the ANC every chance they get. Zuma is the man for the people, so if you say STOP ZUMA, then that won't work for you.

Quite true - they made it out to be like a 50/50 split. Now it just looks like a snake that has shed old skin:p.
 
The hype was more about a party with a real chance for an alternative goverment in future.

Winning the WC is not guaranteed succes for the DA in future,it could very well be their graveyard too.

Hi Pitbull, I think it is silly to blame the media for your buying into the hype. Media literacy FTW!

COPE is performing precisely as expected.

I highly doubt that.

People in the WC voted for them because of the results Capetown has shown in the last 4 years. They have made massive improvents and the city was run 100% better than under ANC rule. This is what made the WC people vote for the DA.

Now if they can run the WC 100% than the ANC, then there is no way they can fail going forward. But that is where the test lies now. Running a city and a province is 2 completely different things ;)
