Anyone know where I can get copper ink or conductive pen in JHB?

I wanna try out the BSEL pad mod on my allendale e4300 since my asus p5pe-vm doesnt support overclocking and someone told me clockgen is dodgy

Oh and any views on this type of mod will be greatly appreciated.

Ouch - this takes me back to the days of the first AMD duron / athlons where it was possible to overclock with one of these - Some folk were even using pencils with high carbon content.

Communica in Centurion/Midrand would be a good place to check. They're just off Samrand avenue (turn left from N1 North, left at first traffic light then left at first road. At T-junction, turn left, follow the road and after the second bend or so, it's on your left).

I hope you know electronics and/or have a good article posted by someone on a forum who have done it succesfully.

Usually they use a pencil with HB lead to bridge close by tracks or components. Else a electronic shop like Rs Components(Kyalami), AP electronics or Roleens (Boksburg) or Communica (midrand) will definitely have the pen and/or paint vesion.

Builders could also have but you will have to speak to someone there that knows his paints. Also some spares shops, Midas? could have something as they use it to do repairs on rear window heater tracks.

Generally its OK if you know what you are doing and is experienced with modding of PC electronics.

Well it seems easy enough.

Here's a link to a pic for most allendales or even pentium Ds: http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2791667960086116112ULvyBn
and here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=498167

Anyways after some research here's what I gathered:
Pencils dont work, silver loaded conductive paint wont work.

Apparently Rear window defogger kit/repairer will work.

Aluminium foil will work but very unstable.

So anything copper based should be ok...

Thanks for the import, will check out midas and those other places.

Anyone here tried it before by the by?

And here's for increasing to 1333 fsb...but my board wont support it

Nice one, 2.39Ghz! I didn't think people did this kinda stuff anymore! :D

Yeah but since motherboards with no overclock features still exits, BSEL mod will always be here :D

If only my motherboard supports 1333fsb, then I can clock it to 3ghz...

@Nameite: Where did you find the conductive paint, and how much did it set you back?

At some auto spares shop in rock cottage, close to northgate in JHB

It costed me around 90 bucks! I still got plenty left, I'll sell it for R80 :P

Then u can sell to the next guy for R70 :D :D :D

Ha just kidding
