Cops caught on camera 'executing' criminal (WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT)

Completely agree, The Service should stand by their members through thick and thin.
Something like this should never even go to court, but be handled by an internal enquiry.

I agree to some extent but it would still need an external watchdog.

My point being when the Shia flying there is anger and absolutely no time things go wrong people respond to the situation. I see policeman getting murdered everyday and there is no debate about in the least.

The police are trained to uphold and maintain the law, they don't have the right to take the law into their own hands.

If the perp had been taken out in the initial firefight, no problem

It just really concerns me that so many people think it's ok for the cops to perform an act of murder.

Police brutality is getting out of hand, I wonder how many posters that are happy with this execution would be equally as comfortable if they or one of their loved ones were to pulled over late at night by these self same cops?

I for one have very little faith or trust in our police anymore

Not sure what that means.

Most of the recent threads debate the widespread bribery, corrupt, dirty, inept, lazy, uneducated SA police force, and here we have one commending them for an illegal killing of a criminal.
If your preference is living in a country where the rule of law prevails, then you cannot support the execution of criminals by the police force, regardless how gatfol you are of the rampant crime.

Could you imagine the outcry if this was the US Police, it would be condemned with threads titled "more US Police Brutality" - why do we condemn if it happens in the US and condone it in SA?

...and for fools like "Seriously" who believe that murders by cops will reduce crime, you are living in 'cloud cuckoo land', it will increase crime and lawlessness, because the respect for cops will go down. The public will give less support to cops to do their jobs.

You think that overseas experience has no relevance? One of the reasons that cops are highly respected, and that public go out of their way to assist them is that when the cops transgress in any way, they face the full force of the law themselves.

No society has been improved by lawless cops

Neither by lawless criminals running amok. Here no one FACE THE FULL FORCE OF THE LAW unless the ANC wants to make a point. Our judicial system is a farce by world standards. Cuckoo land is down under where you reside, You just did not realise it yet.

You are voicing your own assumption. You have every right to take your own personal moral stand on this matter, however your assumption that extrajudicial criminal killings do not lower crime, are refuted by the evidence that shows they can significantly lower crime. You ought to take the time to fully and factually research extrajudicial criminal executions. Factually, not emotionally. For informational purposes only, as your mind is already set, there would be no point in trying to change it. It would at least assist you in not spreading inaccurate assumptions.

When you have high murder, hijack, robbery, rape etc statistics, then you have a crime problem. I agree with that hence I am involved in, and have set up programs that hopefully will help diminish that over time.

You are welcome...

Tell us about all these programs. Would be interesting to see and maybe get involved.

Blame the media. Too much focus on the bad apples.

And given the murder stats there is already severe under reporting on it in general.

Here on MyBB is the same trend as we see in this thread so ... "blame the media" is the new excuse?

Go and do the job they do for awhile and then come back and point fingers from your safe house.

Was that criminal innocent? Was he just joe soap walking down the street picking his nose?

Yup liberals rule the world hence the condition it is in. You weren't there you didn't know what was happening you saw an angle of an incident. Keep supporting crime chaps until it knocks on your door.
