Haha. Reminds me of a friend of mine who rear ended a taxi that stopped on Brackenfell Boulevard. When the cops arrived, everyone's neck was hurt. :ROFL:

Yeah well, I once helped up a passed out student from the floor of the gents, showered in urine, most likely from his own company. I got called a racist for helping him. So much for being a good Samaritan.

I did not take too kindly to that trap.

It’s when they don’t want to splurge on back up devices and keep back up files, that cost money. It just keep recording over the last recorded footage.

It’s more common than you think, they use the cameras as a deterrent, hoping people will think they will be caught. Staff doesn’t do what they shouldn’t because big brother is watching but no records are actually kept.

It's the only way. Mouth shut and play dumb. Friend of mine was put in hospital for 3 days back in the day simply for saying "who parked their car here" outside of a night club. A dozen witnesses said that was all he said, and some 6ft drunk who's car it belonged to overheard and went nuts. The car was parked illegally and blocking other people in. He just went into kill mode. My pal was blindsided and didn't even see it coming.

Uh... Yes it's normal, but this is a restaurant in Franschhoek. If I as an individual can afford 2 weeks worth of HD/4k footage then they can afford at least one weeks worth. Come on. And if you know there's an event, you grab the footage straight away.

You don't deal with technological ignorant or stingy people. There's a gazillion of these systems out there running 8 cameras and a 500GB HDD and it's not configured properly either. The system is basically useless.

True. But watch that system suddenly start working when the owner needs to fight for his rights. He's just chicken in this case

I would have believed her if it was not fothe false racism accusations. Milking the racism angle this hard means she probably did try and steal the cellphone.

She could be lucky she was in the area she was, other areas in the country she might be burned alive for that.
