:confused:I have paid for and legally downloaded some software which I would like to copy to an optical disk, together with the activation key. Can anyone on this forum assist me with instructions how to do it.:)

1) Use CDBurnerXP (Free Program).
2) Copy the installation Executable to the CD
3) Save the Activation key in a text file and copy that to the CD as well.
4) Burn the CD
5) [Optional] Write the name of the software and the Activation key in Black Marker onto the CD.

Can you expand on part 2. What do you mean by the installion Executable (is it their link)? Sorry to be so dumb but I'm in my late 70's. the rest I am ok with.

Garry is assuming that the program you downloaded is one file called "something-setup.exe" or something similar to that. 99% of the time its that and thats the installation executable.
If its something else then you will need to give us a little more info to help you.

Ja, when you download a program, it usually comes down as one file... something like "program_setup.exe"
That's all you need to copy to the CD
By the way, when you burn the CD you must choose the "Data Format" option.

If you have a file like program.rar or program.zip then you must first extract the program to it's own folder, and then burn all the files in that folder to the CD.
